Welcome...

This is where it begins. My journey to (hopefully) building a community from the ground up.

Here I am, a woman who recently turned 30 in the middle of a worldwide pandemic. Married and had her first child in August of 2020, living a comfortable life and making the decision to pursue her dream of becoming a published author.

I know, right? Ambitious much?

I've wanted to be an author for as long as I could remember. It was my main career objective when I was a kid.

Through all of my life goals and dreams, I have lived and surpassed each one - except for this one.

In June of 2018, I started writing a story that stuck for the very first time.

It's been 3 years and a j o u r n e y, let me tell you. Through all of my life changes throughout these past years, I took many breaks from writing it, but something about this story was different because it never left my mind. I was always thinking about it, the characters, possible plot twists, and character developments. I never once wavered from the heart of the story.

Now, here we are. Finishing up draft #4 and getting it ready for Beta Reading, hoping this is something that works out well for me.

Why did I start this blog? Well, I've started many-a-blog over the years and many-a-failed. I just never stuck to a routine of writing it, I learned very quickly that blog writing was not my forte.

I'm going to use this as a tool for my writing. You can probably already tell that I'm very word-y. Lots of verbosity happening in my body. I've always had problems with being a "fluffy" writer, so I want to use this outlet to spew my ideas, problems and thoughts so I don't channel it completely into my writing and add useless body to my text.

I'll just make this the useless body.

Not really, but I want potential readers to get to know me, the author, my inspirations, and mimy nd warp as I navigate this crazy dream of mine!

I want to create a space for further learning and open conversation and also, for building up my novel.

I hope you're still here. If you are, I'm excited to have you on this journey with me. If you're not, I completely understand.
